The masthead for the magazine is Q. The magazine focuses mainly on alternative rock. It is published by 'Bauer Media' and each copy costs £3.99. The puff is 'The UK's biggest music magazine'. This particular copy's house style uses black, grey, white and red. This gives the font a masculine look, which will aid in drawing in the predominantly male audience. The font looks quite posh and neat. This gives the magazine a sophisticated and intelligent look. The central dominant image is of singer, Lady Gaga, with no clothes on her upper half. She is using her arm to cover herself. This will once again help in drawing in the male audience. All the words on the cover are placed either around Lady Gaga or behind her (except for the second 'Ga'). This makes Lady Gaga seem important and draws attention to her. The background is plain grey, to make sure all attention goes to Lady Gaga. She is wearing spiky clothing to make her look dangerous. This make sthe magazine seem more hardcore.

The Masthead for this magazine is CLASSIC ROCK. The magazine focuses mainly on rock music from the 1960's - 1990's, but occasionally focuses on contemporary artists. It is published by 'Future Publishing', and each copy costs £4.50. The puff is 'The UK's fastes growing music magazine'. This particular copy's house style uses black, red and white. The magazines frequency is monthly. The font for this front cover is all either large, or quite large, and is all red or white. The colours make it stand out and seem masculine. The size gives the font a sense of importance. It makes the magazine seem serious about the topic and that it doesn't play or mess around. Almost all the words are either surrounding or behind the person in the central dominant image, as opposed to in front of him, which gives the man a sense if importance. The only words that are over the top of him are the words directly related to the article to the article about the man. This makes these words seem more important than the other words.
