A day in the life of my ideal reader...

The typical day of my magazine's ideal reader would start with an alarm going off about 6:30am. He would get up and visit the bathroom. He would probably look at himself in the mirror and frown inwardly at the sight of how old he looks. A cup of tea or coffee would his next priority and he would then get his kids up for school if he has kids. He would then take a shower and have a shave. This would be followed by getting dressed and then getting some breakfast, perhaps something quick and easy like couple of slices of toast, because he will be running late. He would then kiss his wife and kids goodbye when they went off to work and school. Lastly he would put his MP3 player headphones on and start playing a tune, maybe something from the eighties such as the Feral Cats or something while he walked to the station to catch his.

After returning from work he would get changed into a t-shirt and jeans and he and his wife would cook dinner. After eating he would pester his kids to do their homework. He may then watch some TV and go to bed at about 10:30pm. He may read a magazine in bed for half an hour and then go to sleep

My Masthead...

This is the first draft of my masthead. I liked the idea, but the hand drawn appearance was not appropriate for a front cover, so I would have to recreate it digitally...

This is my attempt at recreating the masthead digitally myself. It is difficult to read, so I decided I would use a preset font on the computer in order to create the masthead...

Moodboard...

This is my Moodboard, based on the ideal reader of my magazine. Hence, it includes lots of pictures to do with 80s music. Such pictures include photos of iconic bands from the time, such as Queen and Tears for Fears. Also included are photos of instruments used a lot in music from that time, such as an electric guitar, a drum kit and a synthesizer. The ideal reader of my magazine will be enthusiastic about all these instruments and will like these bands' music (and if they don't like their music, they will at least appreciate them or respect them as artists).
