This is the photo I've decided to use for my central dominant image. I decided to go for a quirky and slightly bizarre photo to catch the reader's attention, and makes them want to look at the magazine for an explanantion. The explanation will be provided by the text added afterwards. I used red and blue lighting from spotlights with colour filters placed over them. I suspended a black sheet behind my dad to minimise unwanted reflection of light and to provide a monotone coloured background (to make editing the background easier). Unfortunately the cat isn't looking at the camera, which I also changed after with editing, by taking the eyes from a previous photo. The lighting and pose and facial expression give quite an intimidating, but the the presence of the cat makes him seem more approachable. This combination makes him seem quirky or bizarre, which is the image I wanted him to have.
